July the 4th and the Declaration of Independence

The Declaration of Independence was the first document this country produced, and it set the tone for a republic born of freedom and liberty, with a respect for life and the pursuit of happiness.

Things change over time, but so long as the vision of the Founders are the goals of our government we'll collectively never be far from right. I do think it's time to take patriotic sentiments off bumper stickers and put them back into the halls of government throughout this country -- where they belong and never should have left.
