Benedict XVI trip was inspirational

The APP has a story about the Yankees Stadium trip that Pope Benedict XVI made yesterday. During his trip, I think it was a positive sign that the pontiff addressed the sex scandals involving some priests in the United States. Perhaps it will become easier to defrock troubled priests in the future. Certainly, this is an issue that has some Catholics very troubled.

Nevertheless, Benedict XVI was inspirational and gave a real shot in the arm to American Catholics. At a time when things just aren't going all that well in the U.S., he was something that was uplifting.
